Yes, there's nothing you're required to install on your computer so you can use virtually any modern computer you can access the internet with.

Do I need to own a domain name before I sign-up or sign-up for the free-trial?

No. You will be able to start building and viewing your web site at a temporary location until you select a domain name.

How do I purchase a domain name?
|
|
There are several web sites where you can securely purchase a domain name. We recommend using Network Solutions, GoDaddy or Register.com. When you purchase a domain name, you are actually purchasing the rights to use the domain name for any number of years. The more years you reserve a domain name the less expensive the price per year.

How long will it take to have my domain name directed to my Universal Photographer-Powered web site?

Generally it takes 48 hours from the time your domain name record is updated. You will receive instructions on how to update your DNS records for your domain name account using a third-party vendor.

I am starting to learn a little bit of HTML to make my own web sites. Can I incorporate it into my Universal Photographer-powered web site?

Yes, in all page body areas, you may use standard HTML tags to enhance your site. Also, there are available sample HTML tags for you to use in the help area.

How do I upload images onto my site?
|
There are 3 different ways available for you to upload images to your site.
- Upload each image individually using your web browser. Title the image and select other additional options. You can process the thumbnail dynamically or upload your own in conjunction with the full-sized upload
- FTP file upload & image batch processing. You can upload several images at a time using industry standard FTP services. All thumbnails are dynamically generated. Third-party FTP program installed on your computer required. We provide links to download freeware FTP programs for Mac and PC.Service available for use with jpg images only
- Send us a CD of your images. Please call or email us for rates.

Can I use this service to transfer large image files to and from my photo lab and/or graphic designer?

Yes! In addition to the FTP account you use for uploading images, you also receive an FTP account for your clients. Your clients will be able to log on and download your large image files in seconds!
